2017 Pirelli Calendar Celebrates the Natural Beauty Of Beloved Actresses
The 2017 Pirelli Calendar is continuing last year’s tradition of celebrating women beyond glitz and glamor with pared down images by German photographer Peter Lindbergh. The legendary photographer is the first to helm the project three times and titled the series of black and white shots Emotional. Shot in five different cities, Lindbergh asked 14 famed actresses to participate in his vision—Jessica Chastain, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlotte Rampling, Lea Seydoux, Uma Thurman, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet, Robin Wright, and Zhang Ziyi. 50th Anniversary of the Pirelli Calendar
“The annual Pirelli calendar brings together the world’s most beautiful women and the fashion industry’s most celebrated photographers and stylists in a celebration of the female body. Pirelli released images from its hotly anticipated 50th anniversary photoshoot featuring a stellar line-up of supermodels perfectly under-dressed and shot by renowned fashion photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh. Over the years its calendars have been designed to raise eyebrows with their provocative imagery featuring very little clothing and OTT hair and make-up design, but for the 2014 shoot the Italian tyre manufacturer has let the talent do the talking by presenting a simple studio shoot feature megastars Alessandra Ambrosio, Helena Christensen, Karolina Kurkova, Alek Wek, Miranda Kerr and Isabeli Fontana dressed in over-sized shirts and jumpers”. – Katy Winter

Paolo Roversi has recruited ten women—Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart, Yara Shahidi, Mia Goth, Chris Lee, Claire Foy, Mia Goth, Indya Moore, and Rosalía Vila Tobella—to interpret the role of Shakespeare’s Juliet for the Pirelli 2020 calendar. Shot in Paris and Verona over a week in May, the calendar sees them act, pose, sing; each through their own emotion, art form, personality, character, and interpretation of the role. Pirelli Iconic Calendar 2015 Unveiled
The launch of the 2015 Calendar comes just a few days before the opening of the Forma e Desiderio – The Cal Collezione Pirelli exhibition, which will be held at the Palazzo Reale in Milan from November 21 to February 19, 2015.
