Ballantine’s Presents Benjamin Von Wong’s Underwater River
In late May, Ballantine’s Scotch whisky and ‘hyper-real’ photographer Benjamin Von Wong journeyed to Tulum, Mexico with a team of 35 (including a champion free diver!) to participate in a unique, experimental underwater photographic project. Floating thirty metres (30m / 100ft) down in the ancient ‘Angelita’ Cenote ‘sinkhole’, is a cloud-like layer of hydrogen sulfide which separates salt and fresh water, creating a unique visual phenomenon – flowing ‘underwater river’. Octahedrons is a project of Benjamin Migliore, a designer from Barcelona. Inspired by a pyramidal shape, this stool consist of 2 octahedrons using a triangular base. It is a multifonctional stool: can be used as a high stool when in a vertical position or as a seat for two when in horizontal position just by turning it by 90° which is enough to fix the seat and making pressure on its structure. The seat is perfectly built in with the structure and adapts as necessary.Its 9 connecting pieces make it easy the built up or down. The structure is solid and resistant.
