Cabbage, Radish, Carrots? Oh My! Veggies Crafted in Carving Competition
Russian vegetable carver Anastasia Korsakova makes finishing touches on her work on September 5, 2011 during the first European carving competition in Leipzig, eastern Germany. The competition is taking place during the “Gaeste” trade fair for the restaurant, hotel and catering business running until September 6, 2011. Within four hours, competitors have to carve in front of the jury’s eyes a piece from melons, papayas, stem cabbage, cucumbers, radish, carrots and Chinese cabbage.
