A little girl named Layla was born with a cataract in her eye.

Though small, the cataract slightly clouds Layla’s vision. In order to correct it as she grows, she needs to wear an eyepatch for two hours every day. If she continues to wear her patch, she’ll likely avoid getting a “lazy eye” when she’s older. But a plain eyepatch is kind of boring. That’s exactly why her awesome dad, a Redditor named “Gfgrubb,” decided to stylize each of them. The results? Pure awesomeness. In 2012, photographer Kelly Lewis and her husband adopted younger Alice Lewis into their household.
