Aviation Enthusiasts Has Converted Luxury Private Jet Into A Holiday Campsite

Aviation enthusiasts have a novel way to feed their hobby without even taking to the skies – sleeping in a decommissioned private jet in Wales. With a double bedroom at the back and long leather sofa behind the cockpit, the 1970s JetStar sleeps 4 people on a campsite in Pembrokeshire. It joins a few other old planes – like a jumbo jet in Sweden – that have been converted into accommodation. Still bearing original features, the plane, which would have carried maximum nine passengers, comes with a bar area, an Xbox with flight games in the cockpit, a toilet and a cold water basin. Enchanted: Forest Of Light Brings L.A.’s Most Stunning Holiday Display To Descanso Gardens

Christmas lights usually go hand-in-hand with over-the-top decorations: inflatable Santas, crystal snowflakes, strobing snowmen. But L.A.’s newest light-up experience has ditched the kitsch in favor of a whimsical, wondrous, curiosity-driven display that’s among L.A.’s most stunning and, more importantly, most fun. Enchanted: Forest of Light begins its inaugural run at Descanso Gardens on November 25. The interactive, nighttime program has set up eight illuminated installations around the botanical garden grounds, from luminescent forests to free-standing hands-on art pieces. Continue reading »

The Rehoming and Rehabilitation of Unwanted Dogs and Cats During the Christmas Holiday

Santa, a dog abandoned two days before Christmas, is looked after by Charlene Gunner at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home on December 27, 2012 in London, England. The home was founded 150 years ago and has rescued, reunited and rehomed over three million dogs and cats. The average stay for a dog is just 28 days although some stay much longer.
