Sometimes, you just need a place to relax and unwind, which is exactly what Belzberg Architects have designed for this cancer treatment and research center in California. Located in Duarte, California, the design team was inspired by the “wishing trees” found across the campus that hold hundreds of personal notes tied to branches with messages of hope for the health of loved ones. A serene turquoise glow glimmers from underneath these powerful icebergs. Stood in the middle of Antarctica, the giant icebergs appear to be from an unearthly world. These stunning photographs were captured by American photographer Michael Leggero. “My images show pure nature, as that is how I describe Antarctica, simply pure nature”, says the 43 year old, of Carthage, New York. “It is the only place on our planet that humans have not left a presence behind”. Serene Waters of Hawaii
Amazingly every wave produces different textures from the last – from powerful blasts rushing over calmer water to gentle waves splashing together.
