Adrian Borda is an artist and photographer from Reghin, Romania. Inspired by an old print campaign for the Berlin Philharmonic, Borda managed to take a fascinating series of photos from the insides of old instruments like a cello and contrabass. To achieve these shots, Borda fit a Sony NEX-6 camera equipped with a Samyang 8mm fisheye lens inside the instrument and then used a smart remote so he could preview the workflow on his phone. London-based artist Rowan Mersh assembles dense rolling surfaces comprised of thousands of seashells, tiny solid objects that now appear like fluid waves. The shell artworks are just a small portion of Mersh’s artist practice that also spans fashion design, textile sculptures, and interactive installations. Continue reading »
This artist started making Pro Silicone masks late in his career, and, clearly, found his calling. They’re all super realistic, except with a tinge of crazy. After playing with a silicone formula for months to make the masks lightweight, durable, textured for paint and hair, he hit a sweet-spot and has been making them since. Each mask is unique, hand painted, and each hair inserted with needle. They’re creepy, they’re imaginitive, holloween themed, and just flat out amazing. Continue reading »
