Artist and illustrator Maria A. Aristidou has an interesting new project. She has ditched the paints and now uses a more unusual medium, coffee! Maria said that she did her first coffee illustration by accident, but liked the results so much that she chose to create more. She enjoys making coffee paintings of some of her favorite people, characters and animals. Camera Enthusiast Builds a Coffee Shop Shaped Like an Enormous Rolleiflex Camera


I’m not sure what part of this story I enjoy more: the fact that there’s a two-story building somewhere in the world that’s constructed to look like a giant Rolleiflex Camera; that the walk-in camera doubles as a coffee shop and miniature camera museum; or that the entire endeavor is the brainchild of a former helicopter pilot for the South Korean airforce. Coffee Stirrer Stool

The Coffee Stirrer Stool has been designed to resist compression with a minimal amount of material, using a geometry identical to the molecular structure of diamond – a truss originally patented by material scientist John J. Gilman in 1981. The structural framework fills the largest volume of space with the shortest individual length of a predefined number of struts, making them inherently resistant to buckling.
