Inspiration is a Woman Collection by PIXERS

This collection of wall murals is very feminine, inspired by women and made for women. Inspiration is a Woman presents eight women who influenced many areas of culture like art, fashion, music or movie. We’ve chosen Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Björk, Lauryn Hill, Brigitte Bardot, Frida Kahlo, Madonna and Amy Winehouse. T

hey are all very popular but we’ve interpreted them in our own way. Worth saying that dominant colors of these wall murals are neutral and fit to any interior so there’s no need to be afraid of overwhelm. Presented women symbolize power, strength, charisma and beauty. They are ICONS. And now, we can have these icons at fingertips. We can invite them to our home and make it look unique. No matter who you are, you can choose your woman and feel inspired every day. Inspiration is a woman and the truth is women run the world! Continue reading »

Bondi Icebergs Pool Converted into Giant Esky

Thirsty visitors to Sydney’s Bondi Beach today aren’t hallucinating: That is an ice-filled, 36-by-15-metre cooler stocked with ‘cans’ of Jim Beam beverages. The brand, with Sydney agency The Works, constructed the giant “Esky” at the Bondi Icebergs pool – normally a landmark swimming pool that overlooks the beach. (“Esky”, a Coleman brand name for coolers, has been adopted into the popular venacular). Cast members of Channel Ten’s drama Bondi Rescue appeared at the installation this morning. The Works is using the giant Esky to film a TVC due out in April. Continue reading »

Wang Zi Won’s Mechanical Buddhas

South Korean artist Wang Zi Won creates enlightened robots, including the Buddha and an idealized mechanical doll based upon himself, as a guidepost for a future in which technology lead to self-actualization. Humans will evolve and adapt themselves to enhanced science and technology just as men and animals in the past evolved to adapt themselves to their natural circumstances. The artist sees this as our destiny, not as a negative, gloomy dystopia. Continue reading »

Disturbing Ads for the Ford Figo by JWT India

JWT India created a series of disturbing ads for the Ford Figo, one of which shows former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi flashing a peace sign from the front seat of a car that has three curvaceous women tied up and gagged in the trunk.

It’s not clear if Ford approved the ads, or if the agency was just publishing some speculative renderings to show off its creative chops. JWT India is Ford’s agency for the Figo in that country, however. And India is known for its politically incorrect advertising – Hitler shows up in ads there on a regular basis.

The tag line reads: “Leave your worries behind with Figo’s extra-large boot”. – Laura Stampler via Business Insider. Continue reading »

Emergency Slide May Save Your Life

An emergency slide is tried out in a building in Shanghai, China. The stainless steel chute has been attached to the banister of the stairs. The idea is that in an emergency the slide would be deployed and people would use it to exit the building quickly rather than using the stairs. According to inventor Zhou Miaorong people using the slide could escape from a five-storey building in 14 seconds. (Imaginechina / Rex Feature)
