Artist and illustrator Maria A. Aristidou has an interesting new project. She has ditched the paints and now uses a more unusual medium, coffee! Maria said that she did her first coffee illustration by accident, but liked the results so much that she chose to create more. She enjoys making coffee paintings of some of her favorite people, characters and animals. Renowned photographer Sandro Miller has worked together with legendary Hollywood A-Lister John Malkovich many times, but when Miller wanted to celebrate the photography greats that had inspired and guided him, he had to do something special. Banksy’s artworks fetch hundreds of thousands of pounds and his graffiti is strewn across cities around the world.
But one man mistook the street art splashed on the side of his Muslim centre as vandalism and set about disguising it with white paint. Unbeknown to Saeed Ahmed the ‘Gorilla in a Pink Mask’ stencil had been a familiar landmark in the artist’s hometown of Bristol for over 10 years.
