Dolphins, snakes, lizards, and other animals in the Sand Creatures II collection defy gravity and float through the air in Droppert’s photographs. Amazing Images From A Belgian Sand Sculpting Festival

With just sand and water, artists from around the world have gathered in Ostend, Belgium, to create their own fantasy world full of magic. The annual sand sculpture festival is built by 40 professional artists from all around the world with this year’s theme being ‘Dreams’. Not less than 240 trucks of special sand is sculpted during one month of preparation, creating a visitors circuit that takes one hour to complete, with 150 sculptures from 2 to 6 meters high to discover.
