The tiny female cub was photographed when she was just four months old, weighing little more than a newborn baby at 9.9lbs. Shots show her striking various comical poses, from confidently balancing on her back legs to seemingly smiling as she sits on a weighing scale. Vanishing Point: Lithuanian Artist Makes Trolleybuses Disappear Using Optical Illusion Art
Though not as common in North American cities, many European metropolises have extensive trolleybus systems. As part of the Vilnius Street Art Festival in Lithuania, artist Liudas Parulskis executed an ingenious project that made the city’s trolleybuses disappear. In collaboration with creative place-making agency Studio Vieta, Parulskis took blown up photographs of city streets and architecture and wrapped entire trolleys, creating an illusion of the urban landscape on the moving vehicles. Bluetooth Speaker Ingeniously Disguised As Cotton Cloud That Floats Inside Your Home
A recent collaboration, called Making Weather, by design firm Richard Clarkson Studio and levitation specialists Crealev, have produced a levitating version of Clarkson’s interactive speaker lamp, Cloud. The new product, named ‘floating’, is made of white hand fluffed polyester fibers that give each cloud a unique shape and has magnets embedded in both the reflective oval base and the body of the cloud. The powerful magnets allow the speaker to float 1 to 2 inches off the base and lets the speaker softly bob and rotate to create an effect similar to that of clouds floating outside. Solar-Powered Cylindrical Treehouse In Mexico Is Made With Sustainable Bamboo
On a lush stretch of beach in Mexico, north of Acapulco, lies a sustainable resort called Playa Viva. They recently opened a bi-level treehouse designed by Chicago firm Deture Culsign. Made of bamboo, the solar-powered cylindrical treehouse offers gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. At 700 square feet, the treehouse is designed to “visually intrigue and highlight sustainable strategies to deliver a natural immersive guest experience,” according to Deture Culsign. The treehouse is built six feet off the ground amidst palm trees, which act as “living piers.” There is a bedroom with a king bed, lounge area, built-in hammock, and private bathroom in the treehouse. This glow in the dark bicycle path can be found near Lidzbark Warminski in the north of Poland. It’s made from a synthetic material that is charged by the sun, and it can hold up to ten hours of light. The impressive strip is powered entirely by the sun, and it’s still in the testing phases.
