In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, most people can only dream about escaping to the quiet isolation of the rural countryside. French photographer Antoine Bruy, however, turned that dream into a reality when he hitchhiked across Europe from 2010 to 2013, wandering through remote mountain regions without any fixed destination or route in mind. Along the way, he met several individuals who had willingly abandoned life in the city and retreated deep into the wilderness, sacrificing modern comforts for greater autonomy and freedom. Naughty Dog Artists The-Last-Of-Us-ified a Bunch of Locations. Amazing.
If you’ve played The Last of Us, then you’ll know that the game’s world is covered in that post-apocalyptic art design that bluntly reminds you civilization has ended and nature (and death!) has taken over.
Now, Naughty Dog artists (according to Reddit) have “re-created” real world locations in The Last of Us’ art style and it’s both depressing and impressive at the same time. Tourist spots like the Eiffel Tower, and more have been redesigned to showcase overgrown greenery and eerily reminds you what these places would look like if ever the zombie (or infected) apocalypse takes over.

Floating Snowflake Hotel in Norway that Offers the Perfect View of the Northern Lights
If you want to get the best view of Aurora Borealis, it is best to be as far away from light pollution as possible.
The project for The Krystall hotel was initiated with a cooperation between Dutch Docklands International and Norwegian entrepreneurs. After a long intensive research on location and regulations the design has started. Llion and Dachshund – Friends Forever
A 500-pound lion and an 11-pound dog have formed an unlikely friendship, proving that cats and dogs really can get along. Bonedigger the lion and Milo the dachshund live together at Garold Wayne Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Okla., along with three other dogs. The Joys of the Water Slide
Krista Long began snapping pics of people sliding down a water slide after many visits to the local water park with her tween daughters. “I set up my lawn chair to watch the entertainment as bodies shot one by one out the blue tube, suspended ever so briefly before crashing into the pool below,” Long told ABC News. “I started bringing my camera set to the highest shutter speed, hoping to freeze that moment in time just an instant before the plunge.” The result is an action-packed series of photos on Long’s Flickr page that show emotions ranging, she says, “from pure joy to fear, in anticipation of the inevitable splash-down!”

The Colourful Hills in East Central Oregon
Layers of breathtaking colour streak the rolling hills of this vast desert, making the landscape appear as though it has been tie-dyed. The natural phenomenon, nicknamed the “Painted Desert”, was formed when the area was once a river floodplain.
Each colour corresponds to a different underground geological feature – rocks which have seemingly dyed the layers of earth above. Formed from volcanic activity, the hills at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument in East Central Oregon, USA, are almost bursting with colour.
