Construction Worker Hides Waldo On Site Everyday For Kids In Hospital Next Door To Find
A thoughtful construction worker named Jason Haney thought it would be nice to do something to cheer up the children in the hospital next door. His idea was absolutely brilliant. Haney, with the help of his daughter, created an 8-foot-tall cut out of Where’s Waldo and hides it on the site every day for the kids in the Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend, Indiana to spot. Once Haney is notified that the kids found Waldo, the large cut-out is moved to a different spot, and the kids look for it again. A spooky sight to behold! This is what a psychiatric hospital that has been abandoned for years looks like. Complete with bowling alley and a theater, the hospital shows just how much nature has weathered it over time as paint peels from the walls and the mattress gather dust. The shots were captured by Will Ellis, 26, a photographer based in Brooklyn, New York, with a Canon 5D Mark II with a long exposure to get the full range of shadow creeping across the scenes. Mystery Abandoned Hospital in Perrysburg, New York
These chilling images prove there is no sign of life at this abandoned tuberculosis treatment hospital. Johnny Joo captured the eerie shots of the desolate TB ward, in Perrysburg, New York. Where equipment lies gathering rust and walls are left crumbling. The photojournalist, from Cleveland, Ohio, stumbled upon the facility, which shut its doors in 1995, before shooting what remains of the historic site. Johnny said the facility, named after Buffalo Mayor James Nobel Adam, remains something of an unknown quantity as it is surrounded by more than 500 acres of forest land. Continue reading »
Inside the Ebola Hospital
A woman lays dead outside the Redemption Hospital on Saturday September 20, 2014 in Monrovia, Liberia. Ebola patients come to the hospital, which has become a transfer and holding center to intake Ebola patients, but there is no space and some die while waiting outside. Redemption is located in one of the poorest neighborhoods of Monrovia that locals call “New Kru Town”. Health workers are overwhelmed with a constant stream of new patients since the Ebola outbreak. On Friday there were 102 ebola related patients; nine died overnight and Today the hospital has 107 patients. Nine Ebola related deaths occurred overnight Friday but with Saturday admissions they are now holding 107. Liberians have been living under most extreme conditions as the Ebola virus worsens.
