Wild Life by Brad Wilson

wild animals portraits everythingwithatwist 02 Wild Life by Brad Wilson

Brad Wilson is a fashion photographer. His expertise was used to capture animals though behaving like human beings. The animals, instead of being observed out in the wild, came in to the studio for the actual shooting. The result is impressive. “I was facing subjects that did what they wanted with no regard for me or my artistic agenda. Specific verbal directions were replaced by patient waiting and observation […] ” he said. These photos were published in Wild Life book. There is an exhibition at Doinel Gallery, Piccadilly that lasts until the 8th of December. Enjoy.

The Personalized Zippos Of Vietnam War Soldiers

foto zippo 51 650x464 The Personalized Zippos Of Vietnam War Soldiers

These Zippos belonged to US soldiers who engraved them with texts that are sometimes optimistic, but more often pessimistic as hell. A unique collection of 282 Zippo lighters from the Vietnam War era were recently put up as a single lot at Cowan’s Auctions in Cincinnati, Ohio. The lot was the culmination of years of painstaking research by American artist Bradford Edwards, who picked up many of the distinctive lighters on site in the former war zone during the Nineties.

The newest project by Francisco Palacios Reyes, addresses the way we anthropomorphize objects, landscapes and cities by combining iconic buildings in Santiago, Chile with feminine silhouettes that bring the beauty of the cityscape to life. These double exposures provoke the viewer to imagine the city, not only as human, but with the grace and elegance of the female figure. These images are also the beginning piece of a much larger set of photos that will use the same concept with multiple urban areas, internationally to look at how personality is depicted through a city’s architecture and people.

MacLean, Lang tried to show beaches with his perspective, and did it wonderfully. Enjoy.
