Meet Burin Pong, A ‘Gaymer’ Transforming Queer Representation in Art and Gaming

Thailand’s lively culture and LGBTQ+ community are prominent, especially in Bangkok. However, legal protections for same-sex households are lacking.

Artist Burin Pong is addressing this gap through his art, which boldly portrays queer fantasies. As a “gaymer”, Pong’s work blends his love for video games with his queer identity, challenging heteronormative norms in media. His art explores the spectrum of masculinity, androgyny, and femininity, amplifying underrepresented voices in the LGBTQ+ community.
