Cosgriff House is a minimalist house located in Sydney, Australia, designed by Christopher Polly. A substantial lower ground room is inserted under the original fabric, harnessing the fall in the site towards the rear. It extends deeply beneath the existing dwelling and outwards towards the garden to transform the original dwelling in combination with the re-crafted rear of the ground floor above.

Casas Reais is a minimalist house located in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, designed by Concheiro de Montard. The first aim was to be able to comprehend the existing house, a space fragmented in small rooms with little light, to then visualize it as one single premise full of light. With this concept in mind, the architects decided to use the most out of its lighting possibilities using the two existing natural light sources in the house.

Appartement Spectral is a minimalist house located in Paris, France, designed by Betillon / Dorval-Bory. In the project Spectral Apartment, the architects sought to explore features based on a bi-polar analysis of space. The project is a renovation of a small one-bedroom studio in the Paris suburbs. As the client was particularly concerned about the issue of lighting his apartment, on the first floor facing a courtyard, they have developed a reflection on the quality of artificial light as the basis of the architectural project.

K Project is a minimalist housing complex located in Couëron, France, designed by Berranger & Vincent. This project aims to make a clear link between the rural landscape and the new residential neighbourhood. Small collective housing buildings line up beside one another along the street: simple, fragmented, with defined edges, carved by a set of “habitable” grooves. From these “habitable” grooves, or appropriable levels, one can have glimpses of the houses’ central communal space. Every residence is oriented East-West. The living areas, which are largely glazed, benefit from maximum daylight.

Shelf is a minimalist design created by Israel-based designer Raz Krulfeld. Understanding that most of our kitchen products have a right angle, a tilted 90° angle makes for a stable recess. While the higher section is for container storage, like spices, the lower one can be used as a books and magazines shelf.
