The Whimsical Photography of Cho Gi Seok

There’s something unique about Cho Gi Seok, a photographer from Seoul, South Korea. Each and every one of his photographs tells a distinctive story that plays with texture, color, and clothing. A master of digital photography, he has brought Korea’s artistic scene to global consciousness, producing works for the covers of Kinfolk and Vogue Korea, as well as working with international brands like Adidas.

With a multi-faceted approach that uses everyday objects that he finds in thrift stores, Cho has created a portfolio that is a love letter both to his generation and to the city of Seoul. Sophisticated, clean-cut, and beautifully composed, we get an intimate glimpse into how this creative sees the world around him.
