Monsters Have Problems Too

1

“I like to draw cute and silly things. This is a project I’ve been working on for a while now. I call it ‘Monster Issues’. It’s about monsters and their feelings. What if they’re more than just big, mean, scary creatures? What if they have worries, problems and stuff they have to deal with, just like the rest of us? I thought it would be a fun idea to illustrate.” Continue reading »

Fans and critics have long discussed and debated the unrealistic bodies of comic book superheroes, from gravity-defying breasts and tiny waists to bulging biceps and washboard abs. However, now Bulimia.com has done what it refers to as “reverse Photoshopping of comic covers,” and given the superheroes bodies that reflect average American body types.

The Tofu Maker

It is healthy, inexpensive and easy to find throughout the city. Tofu entrepreneurs in Indonesia are suffering due to the weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar and the rise in prices of imported soybeans in the international market, forcing tofu-makers to cut their production and lay off staff. Awesome Dad Turns Daughter’s Eyepatch Into Art With Amazing Drawings

1
A little girl named Layla was born with a cataract in her eye.

Though small, the cataract slightly clouds Layla’s vision. In order to correct it as she grows, she needs to wear an eyepatch for two hours every day. If she continues to wear her patch, she’ll likely avoid getting a “lazy eye” when she’s older. But a plain eyepatch is kind of boring. That’s exactly why her awesome dad, a Redditor named “Gfgrubb,” decided to stylize each of them. The results? Pure awesomeness. Although Layla has to wear an eyepatch, she can learn to embrace it for the time being, thanks to her dad’s creativity. Continue reading »

Justin Bieber for Calvin Klein Spring 2015 Ad Campaign

It amuses us to see the pop culture audience collectively lose their shit over these pics. BELIEBE us, we’re not here to defend this little shit, but darlings, it’s a Calvin Klein campaign. Photographing the vapid and the douchey is kind of their thing.

“I have been wearing Calvin Klein underwear for years in hopes of getting to model for the brand one day,” Bieber told WWD. “It’s always been a dream. Last spring, I posted a picture on Instagram in my underwear, using the #mycalvins tag. Thankfully the brand saw it and liked the reaction it was getting, and a relationship started from there.”

Eva Green Dazzles in Red in Campari Calendar 2015 Dubbed “Mythology Mixology”

Campari has officially unveiled the full imagery for the 2015 Calendar, entitled “Mythology Mixology”. This year’s iconic calendar, which stars the beautiful French born actress Eva Green, is the 16th edition in the collection and is dedicated to celebrating Campari’s unique and intriguing history and the intrinsic stories linked to twelve of its best-loved classic cocktails. Eva Green comments: “For me, this project was about much more than simply producing a Calendar. It was about telling a series of stories in an imaginative, creative and beautiful way – and that’s exactly what we’ve achieved. This year, those stories are closer to the heart of Campari than ever before and I personally feel very honoured to have been part of that”.

MINI Japan by Alexa Meade

1
Creators of Mini Cooper continue on with their innovative way of promoting their product. First, it was the huge cardboard boxes, which looked like packaging for full sized Mini Coopers, left all over Amsterdam. Now they’ve hired a famous artist Alexa Meade, who is known for making 3-D objects look as if they are 2-D paintings. For this project, Alexa had to fly to Japan, where she turned a whole Mini Cooper into a “drawing”. Even if you know that what you’re seeing on the picture are 3-D objects, your brain refuses to accept this, making you think that Alexa is standing near a sloppy picture of a Mini Cooper Continue reading »
