3.8 billion years ago life began on earth. And over millions of years multicellular life evolved into land plants and forests. The colors and shapes of flowers, fruits and seeds all have unique purposes and are as beautiful as they are functional. Intent on showcasing the wonder and beauty of mother nature, Koichi Yoshimura developed a way to exquisitely preserve plants in acrylic cubes. He called them “Sola Cubes.”

NASA Just Released Some Absolutely Spectacular New Photos Of Jupiter

The stunning, enhanced-color image above, featured in a news release by NASA, is based on a photo of Jupiter’s south pole captured by the Juno spacecraft on December 11th, 2016. Juno’s citizen science camera has been snapping glorious images of the gas giant ever since it arrived in orbit around Jupiter last July. Australian Photographer Put A Giant Mirror In A Salt Flat

Since 2003, Australian photographer Murray Fredericks has made at least twenty journeys to the center of Lake Eyre, a desert lake with an extremely high concentration of salt. Fredericks drags all of his equipment out into the barren landscape, capturing the dramatic sky reflected in both the inch-deep water and his rectangular mirror.
