The funniest and most popular photography competition in the world, The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2020 has reached its conclusion and is proud to announce that the OVERALL WINNER of this year’s competition is Ken Jensen, a keen amateur photographer from Blackburn for his amazing photograph entitled ‘Ouch!
The Competition Winners were revealed on BBC’s ‘The One Show’ in front of millions of viewers, a first for the competition that has seen its popularity grow and grow despite only being created 7 years ago. Up against 7,000 hilarious entries from across the globe, Ken’s image of a Golden Silk Monkey, looking a little more than uncomfortable, just pipped the others photos to the top title.

“Nature Under Threat”: The winning Images of The Cop26 Photographic Competition 2021
The Earth Project, in collaboration with Nature Picture Library photography competition, aims to raise awareness of the huge challenges faced by nature, as well as the impacts of climate change on global ecosystems. Some of the world’s leading photographers came together to illustrate nature under threat, linking to one of the main goals of Cop26: to help protect and restore ecosystems in countries adversely affected by the climate crisis.
The overall winning images, by Rivoni Mkansi of a rhino being dehorned to deter poaching; by Doug Gimesy of little blue penguins silhouetted against Melbourne city, and by Jo-Anne McArthur of pigs in an industrial farm, were selected by an online vote for three galleries.

Photo above: This little boy’s father Munzir lost his right leg when a bomb was dropped as he walked through a bazaar in Idlib, Syria. His son Mustafa was born without lower or upper limbs due to tetra-amelia, a congenital disorder caused by the medications his mother Zeynep had to take after being sickened by nerve gas released during the war in Syria. Mustafa will need special electronic prostheses in the future which, unfortunately, are not yet available in Turkey.
