One Of The Biggest Eco Murals In The World Has Just Been Created In Poland
The barrage by Lake Solińskie, of 82 metres high, is one of the most important places of interest in Bieszczady Mountains. On the wall of the barrage, one of the biggest eco murals in the world, with clean (reverse) technique has been created. The concept is to create a picture with water under high pressure and to clean the sediment that was formed during many years. There are no chemicals used, that’s why this type of art is described as eco or green graffiti.
Mural, 91 metres wide and 54 metres high, commissioned by PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, is a worldwide phenomenon. The project is also original thanks to interesting place it is situated. Similar pictures were created on walls or sidewalks so far.
One of the biggest eco murals in the world is a well – prepared initiative. Ecological technique reflects strategy of the biggest capital group in energy sector in Poland. The theme of mural perfectly fits to the region – it presents typical for Bieszczady wildlife and plantlife, so it has also educational role. The non-standard action of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna has already attracted a lot of people and is going to be important place of interest in Bieszczady for at least one year.
