Best in Show: “Aquatic Primate” by Suliman Alatiqi

The 12th annual Ocean Art competition, hosted by The Underwater Photography Guide, showcases top underwater photography from over 90 countries. Ocean Art 2023 reflects the ongoing advancement of photographic art and technology.

Suliman Alatiqi’s photo of a crab-eating macaque in Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands, resulting from two weeks of observation, won “the world’s best underwater image.” The contest awarded prizes worth over $120,000 and highlights exceptional underwater photographers.
