Alex Vede is a talented, self-taught Spanish illustrator, concept artist, and comic book creator. Vede’s visual style is highly immersive and cinematic, defined by rich colors, dynamic lighting, and incredibly detailed environments.

His portfolio spans a wide variety of genres, ranging from lush natural landscapes and dramatic storms to historical fiction, sci-fi, and dark fantasy. He is highly transparent with his artistic community, frequently sharing his entire workflow to show how his ideas evolve from raw traditional pencil sketches and ink work to polished digital masterpieces.

Vede is currently making significant waves in the comic book industry through a major partnership with Dark Horse Comics. He is the sole writer and illustrator behind two highly anticipated original graphic novels. His debut book, Yucatan 1512 (releasing in May 2025), is a bloody and evocative tale of betrayal and myth set during the Age of Discovery. His second graphic novel, Riptide (releasing in August 2025), is a thrilling Cold War-era oceanic mystery that follows a marine biologist who discovers an advanced underwater civilization connected to the lost city of Atlantis.
