Renowned photographer Sandro Miller has worked together with legendary Hollywood A-Lister John Malkovich many times, but when Miller wanted to celebrate the photography greats that had inspired and guided him, he had to do something special. So he, with Malkovich as his dashing unisex model, recreated some of those influential photographers’ most important portraits in a photo series called “Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to photographic masters.”

Prada Marfa is a permanently installed sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragset, situated 1.4 miles (2.3 km) northwest of Valentine, Texas, just off U.S. Highway 90 (US 90), and about 26 miles (42 km) northwest of the city of Marfa. Catherine Hui, a contestant in the Miss NY Chinese Beauty Pageant 2014, has makeup applied before the show at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, Conn. In its 13th year, MNYCBP has become one of the most influential Chinese events in the U.S., while providing a major platform for American Chinese girls to enter the entertainment industry in China. The pageant accentuates the girls’ eyes to look bigger and doll like. “I have a mono lid…I love my Oriental eyes because they make me different”, said Alice Zhang. “But they (pageant team) always change it to give me the double eye lid”. The girls are taught to use double eye lid tape, enlarging eye contacts, Dolly Wink eye lashes, a lot of sun block and bright pink make up to achieve a wholesome and innocent look. “The Chinese beauty aesthetic is similar to Anime – super flawless”, said contestant Stephanie Hau. Mongoose vs Four Lions: An Epic Battle In Kenyan Savannah

A mongoose emerges from its hole as lions wait nearby on September 10, 2011 in Maasai Mara, Kenya. Four lions were left with their tails between their legs when a mongoose bravely took on the predators. Despite being under two feet tall, the aggressive mongoose growled at the felines and even bit one on the nose. The shocking fight, which was photographed in 2011 but has just been released, began in the Masaai Mara National Park, Kenya, when photographer Jerome Guillaumot came across four young lions surrounding the terrified marsh mongoose. The lions chased the mongoose into a hole in the ground but the small animal reemerged to fight the predators once again before running for cover.
