Fantastic Sunsets on the Masai Mara
A photographer has shared his stunning gallery of African sunrises and sunsets. Paul Goldstein says he has spent years trying to photograph the perfect beginning and ending of the Masai Mara day. Thanks to his role as guide for Exodus Travels, there have been countless opportunities to document the beautiful natural spectacle.
Wimbledon-based Paul explains: “Of all the thousands of images I have taken during sunrise and sunset around the world, 90% of them have been in two Mara Conservancies in Kenya – Olare and Mara North. The Masai Mara is well-known for having the best photographic light in the world, but these well-managed conservancies also have the best spots for sunrise and sunset and without crowds of people”.
Goldstein guides photographic safaris and expeditions for Exodus and is co-owner of the number one rated Kicheche Camps in Kenya.

Have you ever heard of the term “cat lady?” Usually this phrase has a negative connotation. Visualize a person who adopts way too many cats and ends up having too much focus on their kitties – that’s what a cat lady is typically supposed to be like. Someone with just a few cats can be called that term, but what about someone with over 700?
Lynea Lattanzio has over hundreds of cats on her property… and a dozen dogs and a handful of goats. She’s not crazy, though. She is running one of the largest lifetime adoption cat sanctuaries, The Cat House On The Kings, in photos by Christina Gandolfo.

“Alien” Creature Mystery Solved in South Africa
Locals in South Africa were baffled when Llewellyn Dixon, a national park ranger, discovered what appeared to be the body of an alien creature lying in the grass. Water-Cleaning Billboard by Shokubutsu HANA
Shokubutsu HANA, a beauty brand that believes in the restorative powers of nature, joins the fight to help bring Pasig River back to life with an ad that does more than just send a message. A water-cleaning billboard was created—the first of its kind. Its design and words make use of Vetiver, a plant capable of absorbing wastewater. It is a billboard made of nature, powered by nature, created to preserve nature.
With the help of the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission and Vetiver Farms, the billboard was constructed and placed on the Estero de San Miguel in Manila. Its unique placement enabled it to speak directly to passers-by right when they looked at the waterway.
The brand, along with advertising agency TBWA\ Santiago Mangada Puno are working on more water-cleaning billboards to be implemented acrossother sections of the river to help in its rehabilitation.
