An open house known as “The Doll Asylum” in Portland, Oregon. Mark Williams and his wife Heidi Loutzenhiser love halloween so much they fill their home with over 1,000 creepy dolls before opening it up for the public to enjoy over the halloween season. Founded in 1867 by German Dr. Hermann Reinhardt, the Doll Asylum’s purpose was to receive dolls who were abandoned, neglected, or most importantly, showing signs of psychotic or murderous behaviour. Artists Raid A Polish Scrapyard To Build A Collection Of Recycled Metal Super Cars
In the Polish city of Pruszków you’ll find the Gallery of Steel Figures, an entire museum devoted to dozens of sculptures built from scrap metal salvaged from a local scrapyard. Their most recent addition is a collection of four iconic cars designed and built by roughly 50 artists over the last 5 years. The models include a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, a Bugatti Veyron, a Maserati GranTurismo, and a Lamborghini Aventador. Creative Parents Build a Mad Max “War Rig” for Their Kids’ Halloween Costumes
The popular film Mad Max: Fury Road certainly wasn’t a children’s movie, but parents Cory and Jeremy Newton-Smith have adapted it into an adorable Halloween costume for their kids. Described as “‘makers’ long before the term was popular,” the couple created a “war rig” for their four-year-old son Cooper and 11-month-old daughter Ziggy. They are Max and Furiosa, respectively, and their adorable outfits complement the incredible build of the armored vehicle, which recalls the tattered grittiness of the action-packed film.
