A sculpture was created in memory of Tombili, the phenomenon cat of Istanbul’s Kadıköy that passed away on August 10. Upon a petition on change.org demanding a sculpture for the famous cat, sculptor Seval Şahin built the commemorative sculpture. Giant 3D Mixed Media Street Art Sculpture Climbs Università Bicocca In Milan
At Milan’s Università Bicocca, italian sculptor Edoardo Tresoldi has collaborated with artist Gonzalo Borondo to realize ‘chained’, a mixed media work that interacts with architecture of the site. On the red façade of the building, Borondo has painted five male figures that embrace each other in a circular configuration. Mixed-Media Obama Art for DNC
Here’s another interesting piece of art being featured at the Manifest Hope Gallery exhibit during the DNC that is sure to delight gamers, technophiles, and art fags alike. It features the imagery of 8-bit inspired artist Jude Buffum paired up with custom music making Computer Jay. The 2’×2′ canvas of a pixelated Obama logo with the words “New Game” will hang above a boombox with this “Yes We Can” track playing on a continuous loop. Look and listen!
