Massive 4,000lb Arthas Statue Erected In Taiwan For Blizzard’s 25th Anniversary

In China, A Giant Panda Statue With Its Own Iron Man Suit
As if pandas weren’t cool enough! In Shenyang, China, local artist Bi Heng has put up a 9-metre high, 7-metre wide panda statue that would give Iron Man a run for his money. Called ‘Iron Panda’, the sculpture features a towering panda wearing a Chinese version of Tony Stark’s famous high-powered suit of armour. Mao Zedong, the founding father of the People’s Republic of China, was a controversial figure. His Marxist–Leninist theories, military strategies and communist ideas, especially his “Great Leap Forward” campaign, where he attempted to rapidly transform China’s economy from an agrarian economy to an industrial one, led to widespread famine resulting in the death of an estimated 45 million people. Dino Statue Causes Traffic Headache

Soong Ching Ling Statue Going up in Central China
A 24-meter stone statue of Soong Ching Ling (1893-1981) is going up in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China’s Henan province, on Nov 3, 2011. Soong Ching Ling is former vice-president of China and wife of Sun Yat-sen, the leader of the 1911 Revolution that toppled the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), China’s last dynasty. The statue’s base is designed as a meeting hall with an area of 800 square meters and construction is expected to be completed by the end of this month, according to construction workers.
