Artist Amy Corson Transforms Old Cassette Tapes into Fabulous Musicians’ Portraits
I’m thrilled to spotlight photographer Amy Corson, who creatively repurposes old cassette tapes into stunning musician portraits.
A decade ago, she discovered a stash of old tapes during a closet clean-out. Inspired by the tape from Bob Dylan’s ‘Blood on the Tracks’ cassette resembling his curly hair, she used it to create a unique portrait. This experiment sparked an ongoing project of crafting likenesses of her favorite musicians. Combining music and art, Amy’s work represents the power both have to inspire and challenge us.
