There are Instagram influencers and models, then there’s @kihmberlie.

Kihmberlie, otherwise known in real life as Kimberly Douglas, is what you’d call an artistic soul. She’s the type of person who’s sense of style far transcends that of the average person. Perhaps that’s why she’s been on the up-and-up for quite some time now, inspiring many women from all over the world who eagerly wait for every photo that she uploads.

This shoot was the definition of trial and error, bought crepe paper from amazon, wrong dimensions had to send it back and get more, watched a ton of videos of how to make a crepe paper rose, new crepe paper came in, not wide enough to make a rose so I aimed for a peony, then after it was halfway done I realized I didn’t make the flower big enough in the middle for my long ass to fit 🤦🏾‍♀️ so I practiced cramming my body up *gracefully* to fit in the middle 😂 (it’s been a long 3 days 😂) INSPIRED BY: Thumbelina and @olivehuephotography’s photo of Sapphire Flower Art on Etsy (can’t find the Instagram handle) Face: @fentybeauty Lip: @fentybeauty 💋

The amount of hours it took for me to poke some roses through some foam is ridiculous 😂 ended up not having enough flowers for both of the foam boards so I had to finesse with one. After 2 failed attempts I made this outfit out of an old mini skirt that I had and an old shirt that’s always been too big for me 😂(its literally held together with safety pins, I didn’t have the patience to hand sew 🤷🏾‍♀️😂) also the fringe kept getting stuck on everything, plus it’s super long so I kept stepping on it, tripping over it , and it even got stuck in the fan at one point 🤦🏾‍♀️😂edit: I found the photographer in the photos I used for inspo 🙌🏾 soooo INSPIRED BY: @jucophoto

This was a long day 😂 got inside the ball, blew it up, (brought a steak knife in there w/ me just in case things went sideways) air thing fell over, had to get out, set everything back up, I was throwing sheets, sweating and I swear that lamp above me was swinging too much at one point…I was literally rolling around in the sheets 👀😂

Decided to become art for the day…(I swear I thought this shoot was going to be easy, as in smooth sailing…nope. 😂 The first idea was to go to the park and shoot it there, then once I got there I forgot my ladder, 🤦🏾‍♀️and it was so windy I couldn’t set anything up because stuff was already starting to blow away, so I packed up drove home cleared out the guest room and created a set before this that didn’t work out and then I created this, so I guess sometimes third time really is the charm 😂🤷🏾‍♀️)

My first shoot idea didn’t work out, so I cleaned up and moved aaallllll of this stuff from one room back to the trusty guest bedroom 😂 I printed out these butterflies and added them to this set up last minute for the last few photos before my camera died oh and those “bushes” yeah, those are the family Christmas tree before it gets put together 😂 (honestly the most annoying shoot day I’ve had so far 😂)

I tried this set 3 different ways before finally landing on this, I had to figure out how to try and create different poses because of how small it was and it was hot 🥵. This shoot was…a lot, original idea wasn’t working out (even after I tried editing it), the frame kept falling, I was continually trying to balance on the two desks I had, readjusting the dress (once I changed the concept a tad) over and over again, editing it 4 or 5 times (I lost track) this is what I ended up with.

I honestly didn’t think this shoot was going to work out at first, I was going to pin all of the leaves to the wall but I didn’t have enough pins, then I was going to take the photo from above but I didn’t have enough leaves and I wanted to look like I was in a rainforest. Eventually it was like 💡…to hot glue all of my fake leaves to the two art boards I had, then I put on a bikini top, dunked my head in the tub, sprayed my face, neck, and entire upper body with water and started taking photos 😂 (Thanks to God it all came together in the end 😂🙌🏾)((swipe for the bts/during photos)) Inspired by: @uuanjie’s photo of @dmeiyue (((photo is in my story I don’t know why it didn’t post with all the other photos 🤦🏾‍♀️)))

I recreated part of the “God is a woman” music video in my backyard today (this is definitely one of those times where I had to wait until the very end ahaha, it came out different than I was picturing in my head but I’m happy it turned out okay, I used every food coloring, tie dye, two cans of white paint I found in the garage, pink paint, dye powder and then pieces all of the photos together to create this one 😂 this shoot was a very long and frustrating process 🥵😂) Thank y’all for 50k 💜 inspired by the @arianagrande painted by @alexameadeart

I made a swing out of a chair, some duct tape and some rope 😂 (this came out nothing like the inspo photo, but as the shoot went on I was aiming for a jungle mood. This set took me two days but it came together also my legs are burning because my butt was barely touching that seat ((not sturdy enough to fully sit)) so I was basically wall sitting in these photos 😂)((swipe for before/during photos))

I’ve been wanting to do a shoot where I was crying for a cool minute because I’m tired of the stupid stigma of having to be completely and utterly fine on camera and it being looked down on when you see people get *genuinely* emotional in videos. “The message is how our world has become a giant dump for our consumer culture.” – Chelsea Daniels . . I’ve been wanting to a shoot about all the trash in our oceans and all over our earth for a while. Y’all know plastic takes the longest to break down, I just recently saw a video of how earth looked in 2000 and how it’s going to look in 2050 and it’s disgusting and heartbreaking, it’ll literally be the movie Wall-E come to life. I saw adidas is having a challenge until the 16th of June for every kilometer ran tracked on the Runtastic app, adidas will donate $1 to the Parley Ocean School. I know there’s other ways to contribute or donate as well. All I know is I do not want to live in a dump and our animals don’t deserve this. I drove 45 minutes to get this trampoline yesterday…but it was kind of worth it 🙌🏾🤷🏾‍♀️ BUT this was one of THE MOST difficult shoots ever 🥵 I couldn’t get enough air just jumping on the trampoline because it wasn’t big enough (it’s mini) so I had to run to get some ground and then jump on the trampoline for each set of shots, factor in the ball and by the end of this shoot I was burnt out 😂 I almost/did fall multiple times and almost tripped over the trampoline coming down from a jump 🤦🏾‍♀️, it was fun though ahaha (swipe for bts/during and unedited shots) INSPIRED BY: @brandontonlu Outfit: @nike @nikewomen
