Photographer Took Portraits Of Dogs And Turned Them Into A Cute Calendar To Support A Local Rescue
Photographer Melissa Blake has been collaborating with Happy Trails Animal Rescue in Central in Florida for three years to create annual calendars featuring dogs from their adoption and outreach programs.
She overcomes the challenges of photographing nervous or special-needs dogs by using a familiar setting and minimal props. Blake employs Photoshop and AI tools to digitally enhance the images with scenery and accessories, adapting each scene to the dog’s personality. This approach also allows her to combine multiple dogs into one image easily. The calendars are a significant fundraiser for the rescue, and Blake plans to introduce this digital artwork method as a new service in 2024.
