Common Threads: Stunning Embroidered Fabric By Candace Hicks
Imagine a notebook transformed into a tactile work of art, crafted from fabric with every word meticulously embroidered by hand—this is the inventive style of Candace Hicks, who turns pages and books into interactive masterpieces.
Her project “Common Threads” was born from a fascination with literary coincidences, where noticing repeated words or phrases in her readings sparked a deeper commentary on culture and memory. Through her creations, Candace challenges us to see everyday objects in a fresh light, inviting us to explore hidden narratives woven into the fabric of our lives.
