Amazing Trolls, Monsters And Animistic Forest Spirits In Hyper-real Clay Worlds of Malene Hartmann Rasmussen

Malene Hartmann Rasmussen is a Danish ceramic artist based in London and southwest France, known for her narrative figurative sculptures and installations blending fairy tales, mythology, and animism.

Her hyper-realistic clay worlds feature forests, trolls, monsters, and “inner beasts” — initially whimsical and toy-like, but revealing dark, uncanny undertones upon closer inspection, drawing from childhood memories, grief, and the subconscious.
