Awesome Dad Turns Daughter’s Eyepatch Into Art With Amazing Drawings
A little girl named Layla was born with a cataract in her eye.
Though small, the cataract slightly clouds Layla’s vision. In order to correct it as she grows, she needs to wear an eyepatch for two hours every day. If she continues to wear her patch, she’ll likely avoid getting a “lazy eye” when she’s older. But a plain eyepatch is kind of boring. That’s exactly why her awesome dad, a Redditor named “Gfgrubb,” decided to stylize each of them. The results? Pure awesomeness. MINI Japan by Alexa Meade
Creators of Mini Cooper continue on with their innovative way of promoting their product. First, it was the huge cardboard boxes, which looked like packaging for full sized Mini Coopers, left all over Amsterdam. Now they’ve hired a famous artist Alexa Meade, who is known for making 3-D objects look as if they are 2-D paintings. For this project, Alexa had to fly to Japan, where she turned a whole Mini Cooper into a “drawing”. Mini Amsterdam has launched a promotion campaign for their brand new creation Mini Cooper. The idea is that Mini Cooper is so small that it could fit in a box. Thus, as part of the promotion campaign, huge cardboard boxes were left in various popular placed of Amsterdam, making it look as if someone has bought a Mini Cooper and thrown out the cardboard box it came in. Of course it is simply a commercial; however, it clearly illustrates just how small the Mini Cooper really is. This is a perfect vehicle to handle narrow streets and lack of parking space. Prada Marfa is a permanently installed sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragset, situated 1.4 miles (2.3 km) northwest of Valentine, Texas, just off U.S. Highway 90 (US 90), and about 26 miles (42 km) northwest of the city of Marfa. The “Dancing With Costica” series began when photographer Jane Long decided to brush up on her retouching skills. After finding the Costica Acsinte Archive on Flickr, she became fascinated with the images and their subjects, wanting to bring them to life and give them a story. Costica Acsinte was a Romanian war photographer who, after discharge, opened a studio in Slobozia, Romania. Gaikuo-Captain is a young Chinese student of chemical engineering, and a talented illustrator. His passion for the comic was demonstrated by a series of works that combine drawings with photographs, so that he himself is “immersed” in a fantasy to interact with characters from comic books and manga.
