Deborah Simon, a Virginia-born, New York-based artist, creates sculptures that explore “the reality of the animal and the vulnerability imbued in toy.” Though her sculptures appear to be taxidermy, series like “Flayed Animals” are made entirely from hand. Canadian graphic designer Matthieu Jeanson has given the classic Lord of the Rings trilogy a twist by creating unconventional new covers for the beloved books. A $49 Milllion Miniature Megacity Being Recreated In A 49,000-Square-Foot Exhibit Space In NYC

A group of artists have created a new 49,000-square-foot exhibit of 300 miniature scenes of landmarks and towns from 50 countries around the world. Called Gulliver’s Gate, the exhibit features everything from a tiny replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa to one of the Beatles strutting across Abbey Road. Jakarta-based pastry chef Iven Kawi says she made her first honest attempt at baking in December of 2013 when she made a batch of Christmas cookies for her daughter’s school. As you can see, things have progressed quite a bit. Kawi now runs a bakery shop out of her home in Lippo Karawaci called Iven Oven where she creates elaborately decorated baked goods.
