U.K.-based Oliver’s Travels recently announced the latest in aquatic luxury, launched just in time for Valentine’s Day.
This romantic submarine package, using speciality adapted submarines aptly named Lovers Deep, will send couples into secluded isolation below the sea and caters to every romantic whim, according to The Daily Mail.
Passengers can enjoy stunning marine views while cuddling down below, and they can feast on a unique, aphrodisiac tasting menu with dishes like oysters, caviar and a chocolate fondant with essence of pomegranate. Chocolate Fashion Show in Brussels
Chocolate-lovers have gathered for the first Salon du Chocolat fashion show and festival in Brussels. The festival takes place in 19 cities worldwide, but this year marks the first Salon du Chocolat in Brussels. The main feature of the festival was a fashion show, where chefs and designers collaborated to create chocolate outfits. Salon du Chocolat describes itself as “the world’s biggest event dedicated to chocolate”. More than 90 chocolatiers, including international chocolate powerhouses Godiva and Neuhaus, each have booths at Brussels’s Tour et Taxis. Californian photographer and conservationist Octavio Aburto had spent years photographing the school in Cabo Pulmo National Park, Mexico – and had been trying to capture this exact shot for three years. “Together with my friend David Castro, we were diving with a large group of Bigeye travellies at Cabo Pulmo National Park, Mexico. Thousands of fish forming a ball during the reproduction courtship. In the afternoon, these fish congregate to form a large spawning aggregation around the reefs of the National Park”. Lost City Shicheng Found Underwater in China
Qiandao Lake (Chinese: 千島湖, lit. Thousand Island Lake), a man-made lake located in Chun’an County, Zhejiang, China, formed after the completion of the Xin’an River hydroelectric station in 1959. 1,078 large islands dot the lake and a few thousand smaller ones are scattered across it. The lake covers an area of 573 km² and has a storage capacity of 17.8 km³. The islands in the lake cover about 86 km²
The first underwater exploration attempt of the drowned city was in 2001 when it was discovered there were 265 arches in the preserved ruins. Lion City is about the size of 62 football fields. Continue reading »

The Walking Bread
The Walking Bread is an art series depicting scenes from a certain similar sounding TV show (which itself returns on the 9th of February), only with the twist that all the characters are made out of bread. That’s right.. Bread!! A mixture of parody and downright creativity bring to life a miniature world in a way that captures the imagination. A moody zombie bread slice – scoops jam from the disembowelled body of another bread character in one scene.
Mark Nathan Willetts is the artist behind the series. He came up with the idea after jotting down some wordplay ideas for illustrations, and then decided with a moment of Eureka to take it a step further. Each of the characters were cut from a single slice of bread to make it seem as if they had just climbed straight out of a loaf. To further embellish the scenes, a range of buffet related items were used such as: cocktails sticks, BBQ grill etc. Finally lighting design was used to capture a comic book feel reminiscent of the Walking Dead comic book covers.
There are fourteen pictures covering 10 unique and fun scenes. Just be careful because this bread bites back! Continue reading »
