Amazing Snailpimp Art By Stefan Siverud

1

“Snailpimp” is a project by artist Stefan Siverud, who is having fun decorating living snails with the most varied designs, from the McDonald’s logo to the miniature lighthouse through Pac-Man, Ikea and Adidas. A funny and interesting project, achieved with non-toxic paints, which of course raises the question of the impact on these living animals. If some people ironize that these highly visible snails are less likely to be inadvertently stepped on by people, others point out that they are more easily spotted by predators. A project in line with the Inner City Snail artist Slinkachu. Continue reading »

Awesome Dad Turns Daughter’s Eyepatch Into Art With Amazing Drawings

1
A little girl named Layla was born with a cataract in her eye.

Though small, the cataract slightly clouds Layla’s vision. In order to correct it as she grows, she needs to wear an eyepatch for two hours every day. If she continues to wear her patch, she’ll likely avoid getting a “lazy eye” when she’s older. But a plain eyepatch is kind of boring. That’s exactly why her awesome dad, a Redditor named “Gfgrubb,” decided to stylize each of them. The results? Pure awesomeness. Although Layla has to wear an eyepatch, she can learn to embrace it for the time being, thanks to her dad’s creativity. Continue reading »

Naughty Dog Artists The-Last-Of-Us-ified a Bunch of Locations. Amazing.

1

If you’ve played The Last of Us, then you’ll know that the game’s world is covered in that post-apocalyptic art design that bluntly reminds you civilization has ended and nature (and death!) has taken over.

Now, Naughty Dog artists (according to Reddit) have “re-created” real world locations in The Last of Us’ art style and it’s both depressing and impressive at the same time. Tourist spots like the Eiffel Tower, and more have been redesigned to showcase overgrown greenery and eerily reminds you what these places would look like if ever the zombie (or infected) apocalypse takes over.

So, sit back and go check out each “before” and “after” image in the gallery below.

Boiling Water and Below Zero Temperatures – The Simple and Amazing Science Experiment

What’s there to do when temperatures top out in the negative teens? Well, you can stay inside dressed warmly with the heat on like a sane person. Or you can go outside with some hot water and throw it in the air. Judging from posts on Facebook, myriad Minnesotans have chosen the latter option.

Taking it to the next level, photographers Dan and Karin Berdal connected their hose to a spigot in their basement so that they could see more than a single mug’s worth of water freezing midair. They turned the water on hot and sprayed it into the -20 degree air, shooting awesome little ice comets with steam tails all over the backyard and capturing it with their camera… Continue reading »
