A Japanese Instagrammer, Mamoru Kanai, publishes images of himself performing one-wheeled bicycle stunts in his “Riding Pop” series. The photos feature Kanai performing “wheelies” (standing on the hindwheel) and “stoppies” (standing on the front wheel) while seated as if normally riding a bicycle. Senji Nakajima, claims he enjoys the ‘perfect’ relationship with ‘Saori’ – even taking the dummy out shopping to buy it fancy outfits – despite the fact that he is married to a woman with whom he has two children. Senji, 61, from Nagano, lives with his life size doll in his apartment in Tokyo where he enjoys a physical relationship with it – but he claims he is happy because his plastic companion isn’t ‘after only money’. Tokyo web planning company Nuuo showed a series of Japanese emoticons to models from an Uzbekistan model agency.
Nuuo only told them the bare minimum about what each emoticon meant and allowed the women to interpret the emoticons on their own. Japanese emoticons are slightly different from emoticons in other countries, and thus, the nuance of meaning might not be readily apparent.
