You Will Be Amazed By This Super Cool Looking Land Rover Defender D90 ‘Retro Vibes’
So frequently we see that custom car builders and restoration specialists can be pretty overzealous with their projects. Steer Clear: A Collection Of Sketchy Looking Vans
Vans were once seen as the coolest vehicles on the planet by those groovy guys (mostly) and (a few) gals who thought driving their own magic room around town sounded like pure heaven. And then the 90s ended, and non-work vans started to represent “stranger danger” to people who’d heard stories about creepy guys with vans doing all sorts of unspeakable things. Sadly, this stigma stuck and vans became largely unwanted vehicles, except among classic car enthusiasts and ironic hipsters looking to make a statement with their customizable box on wheels. The Most Diabolically Evil-Looking Buildings In The World
Sometimes you have to wonder if architects secretly want to take over the world. Maybe it’s the planes of black-tinted glass, the jutting angles, or the sweeping archways that differentiate a “headquarters” and a “compound” but sometimes you look at a building and it just plain gives you the WILLIES. Over on reddit’s r/evilbuildings they are dedicated to archiving and collecting each and every nefarious shelter mankind was twisted enough to erect, this is but a mere sampling of their findings. We Can’t Stop Looking At These Drawings By Artists Reimagining Their Art As Famous Cartoons
There’s a new challenge among artists who use Instagram called the #stylechallenge. It has nothing to do with personal style or the way they dress, and everything to do with their artistic precision. The idea behind the hashtag is for artists to draw the same figure multiple times — once in their own artistic style, and then a number of times in the styles of some of the most popular animated shows on television today. The United Nude Lo Res Car is part of the United Nude Lo Res Project, which started several years ago and has become an important signature of the brand. “Unminding Sky”: Hyperrealistic Oil Paintings Looking Through Rainy Windshields
“Revisited”. (Painting by Gregory Thielker)
When he’s driving, New York-based painter Gregory Thielker takes in the views that change from moment to moment: the road, the sky, other cars. “Inside the car it’s easy to forget the outside temperature, humidity, the noise of the road”, he says. “But something happens when rain interrupts the view: the lens through which we are seeing is revealed. Water both obscures and highlights the landscape”. Gregory Thielker’s exhibition “Between here and now” will be at Castor Gallery in lower Manhattan from early March 2016. Continue reading »

1,252 Floating Balls Form An Eye When Looking From The Right Angle
Perceptual Shift is the latest in my series of sculptural works that I refer to as expanded graphics, limited color graphics that are exploded and rendered in three dimensional space. This work is the first of its kind, it’s a 3D halftone. Black and white halftone images are traditionally produced using black circles on a white surface. This work moves away from the traditional picture plane using the white room as its canvas. The flat black circles have become floating black spheres. Continue reading »
