The Adorable Photo Series Shows Curvy Canines And Flexible Felines Participating In A Spot Of Yoga

The shots feature the animals in the likes of the lotus position, balancing on two legs, and stretching in ways that would make the greatest of yoga masters proud. Photographer Dan Borris came up with the idea for the series in 2000, when he was asked by a friend to photograph her in a yoga pose while her dog bothered her. Dan thought images of the dog itself performing yoga positions would be amusing, and, having kept the idea in his mind, began shooting such a series in 2005, releasing his first calendar in 2005. The Trick Copy On These Clever Ads Shows Another Side To Homelessness

Here’s a clever outdoor campaign from Publicis London for the homelessness charity Depaul that manages to tell two different stories with the same copy. The ads are being placed on corners, with text on each side. If you read only the left side, the copy is all about the negative ideas people have about giving up a spare room to a homeless youth. But reading them in full, the ads actually argue for the benefits of volunteering.

Maria Sharpova Haircut: Tennis Star Shows Off New Short Look

Tennis star Maria Sharapova showed off a new, short haircut on her Facebook page on Monday night. Maria, who is engaged to basketball player Sasha Vujacic, showed off the short ‘do to more than seven million Facebook fans. She is usually seen playing tennis with a long ponytail, but in the future will be showing off the more stylish look.

Satellite Image Shows Stricken Costa Concordia From Space


A new image has been released showing the half-submerged cruise ship Costa Concordia taken by the WorldView-1 satellite.

The 114,000 tonne cruise liner, which had 4,200 crew and passengers on board, has been slowly sinking after it hit a rock and capsized off the Tuscan island of Giglio. The death toll from the accident stands at 11, with a further 29 people still missing. The ship’s captain, Francesco Schettino, has been accused of manslaughter and abandoning ship while passengers were still trapped inside. He could face up to eight years in jail. Continue reading »
