The Visual Poetry Of Sébastien Rivest In Black And White

From Tokyo to Montreal, Quebec photographer Sébastien Rivest brings us on his urban wanderings through his shots.

«I like the silence and the solitude of photography. I like to explore the cities by walking, without any specific purpose, leaving my eyes wandering in search of a little visual poetry», he says.

From these explorations, he creates works imbued of melancholy, realism and softness. Some details are striking; he succeeds to sublimate the banality behind his objective. Real globe-trotter using film and digital photography, he immortalizes magical moments of everyday life wherever the journey takes him.
