The Showy And Coloured Selfies Of Véronique Duplain
Véronique Duplain‘s “Selfie Project” started in February 2014, when the Montreal photographer decided to make one self-portrait everyday. Her project was finally extended over six years, and takes a critical look at social networks and their uses, including voyeurism and the media construction of public figures.
Through this series both funny and aesthetic, the self-taught photographer has learned to manage every aspects of her work: artistic direction, production, sets, lighting, editing… And her whole project is made of selfies, since she triggers herself her camera, remotely.
