Photographer Discovered An Abandoned Doctor’s House Filled With Creepy Things

American Photographer Bryan Sansivero has become renowned for his colorful and deeply evocative photographs of ruined and abandoned homes. In Bryan’s pictures, the idea of the abandoned place or ruin is imbued with a sense of loss, nostalgia, of strangeness, an artful fluctuation between presence and absence, creating a poetry of lost words, experience and story.

Featured work may be seen in various publications such as Vogue, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, Yahoo News, MSN, CBS News, New York Magazine’s The Cut, The Sun, Country Living, Architecture & Design, Weather.com and more. His award-winning film, “Shadows of Kings Park” is on loan to the Smithtown Historical Society where it is used for research. Please email for bookings and purchasing prints.

According to a photographer: “Down a long tree-lined driveway you will come across a house overgrown with vines crumbling away slowly. What lies inside are abandoned artifacts that once belonged to a doctor. You can see his office and examination rooms, as well as the living quarters. Each room is more unusual than the next. Filled with taxidermy rugs, old books, medical equipment, clothing, and family photographs.

Take a step inside an American time capsule.”
