An entrepreneur and photographer, Rouse started out making aerial photography with high-tech drones, before their limitations led him to opting to take to the skies himself. First shooting from a fixed wing aircraft before settling on his current technique of a camera rig locked onto a Bell 407 helicopter, Rouse’s innovative, state-of-the-art setup allows him to push the boundaries of quality.

Rouse has shot work throughout the United States, where much of his interest lies in the industrial sites of agriculture, transport, and shipping. This series, entitled Farmland, is a great example of the sharp, detailed resolution that has become a signature of his work.
