Charles loupot 1

Charles Loupot (1892–1962), born in Nice, was one of France’s most influential poster artists, standing alongside greats like A.M. Cassandre, Paul Colin, and Jean Carlu.

Renowned for his mastery of lithography and typography, he brought a revolutionary sophistication to commercial poster design with techniques like the aerograph. Throughout his career, he collaborated with prominent figures in advertising, such as Eugène Schueller of L’Oréal and Max Augier of St-Raphaël. Known for his reclusive nature, Loupot left behind a legacy of striking posters from the 1910s and 1920s.
