Artist Chris Hynes Creates Impressive Animal Sculptures from the Scrap Metal

[0

American sculptor Chris Hynes transforms discarded metal into evocative works that reflect nature’s delicate beauty within industrial decay.

Educated at the Ringling School of Art and Design, he was mentored by fine artist John Williams, who helped shape his passion for working with scrap materials. Hynes sources his raw components from junkyards, allowing each weathered piece to inspire a new concept. By blending rugged metal with clay’s natural softness, his sculptures gain depth and emotional resonance. His latest creations focus on endangered species, capturing their vulnerability in stark, symbolic forms that speak to both despair and resilience.
