“Les Premiers Humains Dans la Lune”: Fairytale Illustrations by Lily de Bellon

French illustrator and graphic designer Lili des Bellons continues to build whimsical, otherworldly realms in his latest series.

Blending elements from medieval iconography, Japanese anime, African design, and vintage European posters, his work feels both futuristic and rooted in myth. Each illustration unfolds like a scene from a larger narrative, populated by warriors, vampires, tricksters, and enchanted landscapes. With bold, flat colors and surreal compositions, Lili’s art invites viewers into a world where logic bends and mystery lingers at the edges.
