A London Photographer Turning Street Scenes, Architecture, and Mood Into Highly Controlled Images
Mike aka MKAPTURED is a London-based photographer whose work centers on low-light, abstract, black-and-white, and fine art–styled photography. He came into photography in 2021 after years of Photoshop experience in freelance graphic design, and that background shows in the precision, finish, and strong visual control of his images.
His photography is built around natural light, symmetry, and careful composition. Architecture, street scenes, portraits, automotive work, and travel all appear in his practice, but the common thread is a taste for strong structure and images that feel both graphic and atmospheric at once. He was named Overall Photographer of the Year 2023 by The Society of Photographers after winning the Open Avant Garde category, which places him firmly in the space where polished craft meets a more stylized artistic vision.
