This Artist Turns Trains, Towers, and Industrial Megastructures Into the Mythology of an Unmade Future
Marcel Deneuve is a digital artist, concept designer, and writer based in New York City, known for expansive science-fiction architectural concepts and atmospheric environmental design.
His work builds immense imagined worlds — layered megacities, industrial transit systems, monumental spacecraft, and distant structures — where cinematic scale is balanced by mood, texture, and a sense of life continuing beyond the frame. Deneuve’s art is driven by architecture: impossible cityscapes extend upward and outward, towers fuse with infrastructure, and vast mechanical structures appear to have developed over centuries. Yet the images are not simply about size. Trains, vehicles, small lights, weathered surfaces, smoke, and glimpses of everyday movement make the environments feel inhabited — less like speculative designs and more like places with their own history.
